I attended the Fishing Seminar in the Little Egg Community Center today, provided by the Sunshine Foundation. It was a good service with speakers
Congressman John Runyan, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Auxiliary, Rutgers professor Olaf Jensen, who discussed his trips to Mongolia and his
study on the black sea bass, and a representative from West Creek Kayak. All proceeds went to the Sunshine Foundation. Mr. Jensen even offered
an award for any angler who catches a black sea bass that has a tag! For more info, click here. You could win a cool hat, $100, or more!
There are some upcoming tournaments.
June 9th, the Jersey Coast Angler's Association (JCAA) is hosting a fluke tournament. $120 a boat. For more information, go to their website.
July 19th, the Sunshine Foundation will host a Fluke and Bluefish tournament. $55 gets you into the tournament and into a BBQ. Even if you don't
want the enter the tournament, $55 will get you the food! More info; click here.
Bass season starts March 1st. More season openings as well as limits are upcoming.
